An Elk pic worth a thousand words.

The Elk Bath picture was taken by the Alaskan Type I Incident Management Team on August 6, 2000 on the East Fork of the Bitterroot River on the Sula Complex. This photograph was taken with a digital camera and is not available in high resolution. If you use this photo, please credit the Alaskan Type I Incident Management Team. A buddy of mine who is a contractor for Boeing over in Seattle emailed me this same picture a couple days ago. I don't quite understand the high resolution stuff you are talking about, but the one I got was the bigger than my 17" screen, had to scroll both left to right and up and down to get the whole picture. I couldn't figure out how to reduce the size, so I'm glad you were able to find the original and post it. It's a great pic, and also shows how smart the elk are. Most people don't give them much credit. I hate to say it, with all the damage caused from the fire, but it is actually a great photo!
