Deer Pic's
#1
Here are the latest pic's from the deer camera. Some decent bucks, I dont know if I would harvest them, but my 12 yr old will if given the chance! We had to put chicken wire around the bottom of the feeder due to stinkin coons. I hate em. They literally made my camera take over 100 pics just on them. I added some stuff to my corn this year called "Buck-Ola"...they seem to like it. I set a small feeder up today with nothing but it in it in a different part of the property. Let me know what type of stuff you guys are feeding....and please post some deer pics! Here is the link...... http://outdoors.webshots.com/album/554325445SxhDvj.....

Great pics.
It's illegal to feed deer in NY State. But you can plant food plots, go figure that one out.
I have about an acre of Trefoil, a half acre of Buckwheat and a about a half acre of Soybean. and a small plot of white clover
The deer are hammering the Trefoil and have just started on the soy. I'm still waiting to see if they are going to touch the Buckwheat, they are making a beeline through it straight to the white clover.

Thanks guys...Squeege...it is a wal mart special...Moultrie 2.1(I think) digital for $97. Thanks Cobra for the link...I dont understand why I cant do that.
Deerkiller, thats crazy about the baiting thing, but allowing foodplots. Where this feeder is right above it on a hill side, I have about half an acre of clover, winter wheat and peas. I will try to post some pics of the stand I have by the food plot and feeder.
Thanks again...and if anyone else has pics, please post them.

Okie,
When was the winter wheat planted? Is it small, just sprouted. Did they get into the peas?
My land is boardered by hay lots and field corn. Just behind one of my stands the corn is knocked down and the ears eaten. and area of about 15 yards by 5 yards , I've never seen it hit so hard before. I see deer tracks in it and i don't think coons would do that much damage.
It may be a bear, they are beginning to be a problem in this part of the state.

As for the multrie, they are a nice camera. A buddy of mine has one, and he gets some of the nicest pictures. Even at night it takes excelent photos. I would like to buy one, but at the moment cant justify spending the money on one.

I want to get some pisc of the deer around my stand cause my stand sets about 15ft from a wildlife reserve that boarders our property like 600 yards.....I had a nice shot 1st day of buck last year, but was not sure if it qualified the 8 point limit...(or 4 on one side limit)...maybe the deer cam would let me know whats in the area....
