Default new guy from MA, love this site, Arctic cat 90

hi everyone. have read some of these posts in the past to help me out. i have 4 boys ages 11, 8, 4, and 1. i have had all kinds of sleds, quads and bikes since i was a kid. 3 of my good friends raced quads pro for years so i love the atv community. now i have no toys and my kids have them all. we currently have a 2005 Polaris 90, 2002 Yamaha Raptor 50, 2002 Suzuki LT80, and a 2005 Arctic Cat 90. i built a track in our field and the 3 older boys usually ride every day. all of the quads have been toyed with except the cat. need to find a 35 tooth rear sprocket....any info would be great. our local shop won't get us one. Thanks!

Welcome to the forums.

You might want to check out the Kymco website, or a Kymco dealer as that's who makes the AC90.

I would avoid it. The Raptor 50 has very low power. IMO the Arctic Cat DVX 50 4-stroke (2006 or later) is the best 50 on the market, and has a nice variator restrictor on the clutch that keeps the speed down to 9 mph yet leaves the torque intact. Then you can remove the restrictor later to take it up to 14 mph when she or he is more skilled. Then, like I did, you could put 22" Mudlite tires on the rear and about 19" tires on the front, and you will have an amazing quad that will go about 19 mph and have enough power for her/him to ride the mud trails until she/he is physically too big for it.

Geeting your hands on one is another matter. There are no 2009 50's in Canada this year, and I understand the U.S. has now banned all the under 12 age category ATVs - good luck!
