Old Guy - Pretending he's young . . .
A buddy wants to give me a great deal on an 02 Polaris Sportsman 700. So I figure: I got four kids, in laws have some property - it should be fun.
The quad needs some work, so I am doing the research now to see if this is a good idea. Good Website.

Well I decided to get it. It wasn't running when I got it. Only needed a battery. It is a powerhouse.
Front differential was acting up - fluid change seems to have fixed that.
Needs brakes, and a front lever/master cylinder, exhaust hanger repair, there's a clunk type noise coming from the rearend (previous owner said it was like that for a couple years)
The next big problem I want to tackle is that it overheats. Verified fan works, but it isn't getting juice. Maybe relay or sensor. It also pushes water to the overflow pretty quickly, I am hoping it doesn't need a head gasket or water pump. I will be headed to the Polaris area of the forum for info!
