ATV in Europe Belgium
I've owned an ATV for as long as I can remember.
First one was an old wheelhorse mower with the mowing deck removed and some grippy tyres added. Great stuff for the little bratt that I was, churning up the lawn. Then along came the driving license and a toyota landcruiser was my preferred ATV. The tracks got narrower and more overgrown, so a smaller vehicle was needed. Bought a secondhand Polaris Sportsman 400 2-stroke 4x4. Met the otherhalf and persuaded her we needed a Sportsman touring 800. Like to go fishing, riding and as a mechanic do like a bit of wrenching. Don't do big projects on my vehicles, they just receive slight tweeks adjusting them to my personal preferences. |

Europe still has free wilderness? I thought every square inch was boughten up and turned to private property 150 years ago.

We don't have what you would call wilderness. But we do have lots of ancient farmland, woodland tracks, beaches you can explore and as our atvs are street legal we can use them for shopping or just getting from a to b.
As some of these winding farmland tracks also run through public domain, I think you call them national parcs. We sometimes venture off the beaten track and explore a little. It's not all barbed wire and fences :D |
