94 wolverine won't start
 

I have a 94 Yamaha wolverine and it will not start. Has good spark. I tried to put it back in time, lined everything up on the marks, but it seems like when I line the "T" mark up on the crank its not at TDC. When u try to start it the exhaust pipe sucks air and the carb blows gas into the airbox. I'm super confused so any help would be greatly appreciated.
