What is the next best choice?
Hey everybody I'm new to the forum and i am curious about what a great next choice for an atv would be. i currently have a polaris trail blazer modded all out through intake, engine and exhaust. What is my best bet to go to a bigger sport atv? I am experienced rider having ridden 400ex's and other polaris models, thanks JT.

Welcome to the forums. Take your pick of the Japanese 400's or 450's. The 450's are more maintenance intensive while the 400's are all around good trail machines that require less maintenance. It sounds like you're going through fairly easy terrain if you're happy with a sports quad so I wouldn't begin to recommend a utility machine.

I am leaning towards sport atvs with a manual transmission but saying that i would like to find reverse if possible and keep the budget around 1750. I have been looking at the raptor 660s, banshees, and warriors. I had a 400ex for a little while and loved its power and handling, is there a better atv for the money? Is there any more refined suggestions for that?

For the money you have you're going to have to be patient or good with a wrench.

Reliability I would go with a 400ex, QuadSport Z400 or 350 Raptor.
The 450 have all have a high strung motocross motor. The 700 Raptor is nice but maybe out of the price range. |

Wiseco .20 high compression top end rebuild 34mm VM34 spgt mount carb Full AAEN exhaust (race pipe and silencer) K&N Air filter w/ stock air box mod D.I.D. chain AAEN clutching new front and rear sprockets new brake pads and calipers new ultra bright headlight It has about 1 hour of usage after the break in. |

I do know the kbb value for my atv,780 trade in, but i would like to know the total value with all my mods that are listed in my previous post. I have 800+ in the carb, engine and exhaust.

To the op, the 400 is probably the perfect transition machine but it will be hard finding one with reverse in your price range. |
