Default New to site. KY atv rider

Looking forward to reading and joining the site. I live in South Central KY and have some great riding trails. There are 2 atv's in the family a 2001 Honda 500 Rubicon and 2002 Kaw 650 Prairie. Love the Honda but have not been happy with the Kaw for sometime now. Hoping to look at the Kaw thread and may get some ideas for the Kaw and get it running good again.

Welcome to the forums, lots of good people on here to help you out. Sorry to hear about your Kawi problems, I had one for 16 years and never had a single issue with it.
Just moved into a SxS and lovin it.

Welcome. Usually if a quad isn't running well, the carb or in your case carbs probably need at least cleaned or rebuilt. I have used an additive called seafoam recently in my Grizzly as it wasn't idling as well as I would like and it seemed to make it idle much better. You simply just add it to your fuel. The worst that could happen is that it simply doesn't help.

Thanks for replying to my to new thread. As of now, I have the carbs off my Kaw and have found that the poor fuel we have mucked up my carbs up. The diaphragm's have cuts in them and the o'rings in the float bowls are shot. The diaphragm's are very expensive, but sometimes that the price to pay for having fun.

Welcome to the forums.

The 10% ethanol gas doesn't help. I've found it to gum up carbs pretty badly compared to the regular gas.
