Default First post but not new

I've been a member here for some time now but have never posted new. I have replied to others in similar threads to what my issues is. I can't find how to publish a new post except in this forum. Is an initial post introducing myself a prerequisite to the link exposing itself in the new post forum?

Hello,
So I've got everything down except what to do when going downhill (I drive a manual)
So what is everything I should do before going downhill/when I'm on the hill

From my personal experience I down shift based on my speed regardless if I am going up or down a hill. It makes no difference as long as your in an appropriate speed range, doing 90 down a hill and down shifting to 4th may not be the best move in the world but doing it going up a hill wouldn't be either.

@oldyeller alrighty. But let's say there's a sharp turn at the bottom of a hill, I would shift to 2nd and hold the clutch in right? (So I wouldn't have to give it any throttle to keep it from stalling out)

When the clutch is in the gear is disengaged. You want to be thinking of what gear you need to be in when coming out of the turn.

Question I have, is your intent on hearing down to assist in slowing down the bike before or during the turn?

Shifting down while on the hill is fine. Like I mention be aware of your speed and what gear your dropping to so not to red line your bike. Dropping to too low a gear can also cause the bike to skid, very rare but can happen.
