Default Hello, from the great wide west.

Greetings one and all. I like the format of this forum, with all brands represented, instead of just the "Can-Am Forum", or just the "Polaris Forum", etc. I'm sure I'll have questions, and will try to help out when I can.

Welcome.

I think that is one of the things that has made this website so successful. Having all of the major brands is a plus.

Hello from Colorado. Colorado is probably higher west than wide west. But it is considered West none the less. Judging from your user name, you might like trail riding with a Jeep. There is a lot of that done in Colorado. My wife asked me why an ATV instead of a used Jeep. At least you can drive the Jeep on public roads. It is a hard question to answer. I tell her the ATV is more fun, but she doesn't buy it.

I like the breath of the ATV Connection too. And there is a lot of technical help here.

Yes, I've owned a Jeep at all times, for the last 43 years. ATVs are a new thing for me, only 18 years worth of ATVing under my belt.

Holly cow! 43 years with a Jeep, and only 18 years riding ATVs You are a senior outdoors enthusiasts for sure. I've had my Cam Am 7 months and a rip roaring 27 hours in the saddle. I think I have a ways to go.

Glad you decided to join this group.

Thanks David. Yes, been doing this awhile. My wife has been known to ask "why don't we just go to Hawaii for vacation?", instead of going offroading every time.

I'll take an off roading adventure any day over a crowded flight to Hawaii and $300 a night rooms. And then you can sit and watch the waves come in. That's not for me. Find me 5 hours on a mountain trail past old ghost mines and towns. Love it. There are a few, darn few, wives who love to ride too. Mine doesn't, would rather sit somewhere in Hawaii.

I think you took that wrong, or I presented it wrong. I should have said that my wife has been known to say that, once or twice, in thirty years of marriage. For the most part she is a really good sport, and goes offroading with me far more than most women would. Her ATV of choice is a Can-Am Renegade 1000 after all.

Wholly cow! You do have a special woman there. My wife has very little interest in my ATV. I did see several women riding in another group that stopped at the same deserted mining company "office" that is part of my picture below. I certainly meant no offence. I learned long ago there is nothing a woman can't do.
