Is a 300ex good for a 14 year old?
I have had a 200sx and have ridden the dog out of it for the past year, I am wanting something a little newer with more power and overall better performance. My father is helping me sell a 200sx and an fl350 odyssey to get money for another quad. I really like the 300ex a lot but my dad thinks it’s a lot of machine for me. I know it’s a machine alright but can anyone give me advice on what I need to say to him so I can convince him. I am about 5’5 at 135 lbs, also I’m pretty experienced. |
Welcome to the forums.
Don't want to be the guy that says ignore your father, but I can see your point. What kind of riding gear do you have? Gearing up, completely, is a good way to show you know of the danger too. And don't forget to thank him for caring about you. ;) |
Thank you, I see what you mean by gearing up shows that I know the dangers of what can happen.
I do have gloves, a helmet and goggles that I wear when I ride but that’s it |
Sadly, there is no "if" you're going to crash, it's "when".
That's true for both the new and the experienced riders. |
I think it was you I already responded to on a different post but if not:
You have a good point. You have been riding for a while, have experience, some safety gear, and your 14. You could defiantly handle a 300. Im only 14 too and I have a 400ex. If I can handle a 400ex with zero problems, you could do a 300. |
