2001 Polaris 900 cc Engine
Hi I have a Polaris Sand rail the kids rolled it and than drove it for a few hours and said it started to run hot. They let it cool down and ran fine but we saw bubbles in the radiator and the fluid level fluctuates. Now the engine overheats after 7 to 10 minutes of use. The fan works just fine. I did a compression test 175 in each cylinder and also did a radiator pressure test it holds fine at 12 lbs. Now the only way the engine will continue to idle is if i squirt brake fluid in the intake. Also bogs out when i push the accelerator. Do I have a blown head gasket or some sort of vacuum leak. How can i confirm? Thanks David

2007 Polaris 800 Sportsman Overheat Issue
Hi I have a 2007 800 cc Polaris Sportsman engine in a sand rail.... It was overheating after running for about 10 minutes.... The fan works and the thermostat is good. It seemed that exhaust gasses were getting into the coolant lots of bubbles and steam. I did a compression and pressure test on the radiator all were ok and no water in the oil. I pulled the head off and replaced the head gasket. Started the engine after 10 minute it got hot again and there was steam and bubbles in the coolant again.... But this time water got in the oil. Any suggestions?
David
