Just picked up my V-Force from service. They said the belt deflection was out of the specified range (2 inches). Seems odd the deflection is out of spec after about 25 hours.They removed the big shim and left the small one to take up the slack to bring deflection back to spec. I got it home and motored around a bit. When I am Drive or reverse and am stopped/idling the thing squeals like mad. When I am moving and the CVT is "hooked up" the squeal goes away. Called back the dealer and they said that is normal and after 1 or 2 rides the squeal will go away as the belt loosens. Does that sound right? Sounds like the thing is going to blow up when it squeals. I get more CVT whine while moving but it does Hook up and pull much harder now though!!

 

I had the exact same thing happen when I got mine back from service, it goes away after a few hours of riding. It definitely pulled harder as well, as I mentioned elsewhere, I was glad I took it in and got the dealer to set it up.

 

Sounds like the belt is to tight but with a few hours of riding it should stretch enough to stop the squeal.

 

Once again same thing here, only it happened to me before my first service. It was a tight belt just ride it alot and it will go away as the belt gets broken in a little. No cause for alarm, just keep your eyes on it.
