Rolled V-Force, need new bars immediately!

Hey gang-

I rolled my V Force yesterday and bent the handlebars pretty bad. I want to replace them with aftermarket ones. I hear Renthal is the way to go..any suggestions. I want to order new ones immediately, but I am having trouble finding bars that are supposed to fit the V Force. Any suggestions? I also need to know WHERE to order them from. RM-ATV does not have any listed for this Quad.

thanks-
Jason

hey jfcody, I have renthal bars(honda 250r bend) for my v-force. I have not installed them yet but several guys already have. Adam Howell (greenteam on this forum) of Team Green is running Renthals as well and that is where I got from, since he lives near me. Give Adam a shout,he is extremely helpful.

Is the steering stem straight ? If it is like the P-650(aluminum tube), it is bent........... even light hits bend the stem on a P-650.

Hi there jfcody, I just installed Renthal "ATV Racer" bars on mine and I wish I would have changed them the day I bought it, I find them that much better. When you change them you'll have to drill holes for the little tab that stops the shifter ass'y and throttle ass'y from turning on the bars. You'll also have to install the shifter side first, trust me.

I don't think the steering stem is bent. It did not roll real hard. (If there is such a way!)
Only the right side of the handlebar is bent down some, but I figured I would replace them anyway. The steering system seems to move left and right (lock to lock) just fine.

Hey 2lman- Where'd you get your Renthals? They are 7/8s correct?

Yeah, they are 7/8". I got them from my local dealer, there are pics on my profile page of the new bars and guards. My local guy is just an awesome place to deal with, one of the reasons I went with a Kawi.

The steering stem has the lower half of the bar clamp welded right to it, it looks like it will be a bit of work to attach the Trailtech billet dash when it comes out. I've also looked at relocating the stock dash to the front fender clip just to the left of the seat.

Great thanks. I am checking with PBSMotorsports on Elkas and the Renthal bars.

Good luck with the dash
