Just thought I would say HI. I have been reading these forums for awhile and decided on the P650. I pick it up Thursday night! I can't wait to really try it out. Now is the time to buy a '03 leftover if you can find one. There was only 3 left in my whole area that covers about 3 dealers. The price was 5400.00 bucks without tax. The only mods so far was to get rid of those crap stock tires. I was really wanting a set of mudlites, but the dealer made me a sweet deal on a set of 589's he had in stock. I got all four installed for 200.00. The one thing I was really disappointed with was the fact that all three in my area were all green, but I couldn't let the color stop me from a good deal. I just hope I don't regret it. I see the Praire has some issues and bugs to work out, but I guess they all do in the end.

I have been looking at the 03' P650 also, but the best price I can find in my area is $6000. I'm in Utah and was wondering what area you are in that you can get it for $5400? I need to make a decision this morning, because at $6000, I might as well go with the 04' P700. I hope you enjoy your P650, I have heard they are an awsome machine. I currently have a Yamaha Kodiac 01' that I would be trading in on it. The issue with the Kodiac being a single cyl, it has a lot of vibaration where the Kawi being a V twin, the Vibaration is basically eliminated.

Hey slingren. I live in upstate New York, just east of Albany. I also had to make a quick decision. The special financing through Kawi. ran out on the 30th of June. My payments are 39.00 a month for 3 years. So I got 3 years to pay it off or they hit me with high interest rate. I talked to the dealer about the 700's. They were on order but did not know when they would be in. The price was going to be 6999.00! Out of my budget for sure right now, besides I understand the 700 is pretty much a 650 with a little more low end.

Good luck, I hope you find one. Your dealer should definately drop his price on the '03 with the new 700's on the way. I just didn't think the 700 was worth the extra 1600.00 bucks. Just my opinion.

You'll be so pumped about your p650, I absolutely love it and have never looked back as far as the decision to buy it. Plus you have the experience and knowledge of this forum to help you out if you have probs. It sure seems the most active ppl on this site are 650 owners, followed closely by the ever growing crowd of v700 owners! [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]

You got it! The 650 p is the bomb!
