32:1 = 4.00 ounces of oil per gallon
42:1 = 3.04 ounces of oil per gallon
stick with the 42:1 mixture, After you split the cases and install the left side seal.
If you are loosing an excessive amount of crankcase oil, other than what would be leaking out of the clutch cover gasket that you mentioned......then you better be breaking out the big hammer and shop manual!

I would be careful mixing your oil at 50:1 it is okay if you are running int he woods in low speed low-rpm conditions but deadly at top speed high-rpm conditions. I have a 1992 KX250 and i was riding with a friend going down a trail/road and i had it wound out at full throttle top gear going as fast as i could and as soon as i let off the gas the motor locked up.......i ended up frying the crank bearing where the conneting rod connects to the crank shaft.....not a good scene.....cost $500 for main bearings, seals, new crankpin, new crankbearings, new connecting rod, piston, and rings......my dad was flamming pissed..... don't make the mistake i made.....mix ur oil and gas at what the manual recommends which i know is 32:1 it is good insurance against costly repairs! P.S. you shouldn't foul any pluggs
