Occasionally, I was having to tap the starter on my '93 400 4x4 Bayou to get it to start. It finally died today. Soleniod is clicking but stater not turning. Need advice on what problem may be (brushes, perhaps) and how to get starter off. I removed the two mounting screws, but starter will not pull out. Thanks, Stacy

 

sounds like u need brushes and u will have to remove the lh side lh side cover to get the starter chain back on.
you may have to slightly hit on the starter to get it out because it has an o-ring on the end of it to keep oil from leaking out.
