Hey Rock, where's the belt??????
 

Has your belt man not been able to cross up a Gates for us? Funny story, I called Gates over a year ago, and asked them about a prairie 650 belt, when and if they were going to make one, The guy went into a thousand question's about what was wrong with the OEM, i said they just tend to need more adjustment than they should and wear out too quick, that we have remedy'd the problem by going to aftermarket springs and such, we just need a wider and tougher belt that should last 3000 miles, more questions followed and he was typeing info into his computer...Then it hit me.... I asked the guy," why are you so concerned with the Kaw OEM belt, is Gates actually the company that makes the OEM belt for Kaw and just put jap lettering on them.... He changed the subject, and would NOT answer my question.......Case in point, your belt rep ran the number's and said this a kaw part,UH UH UH I need the belt to go any further, Uh Uh I cant do anything elst without an actual belt.....Folk's these infamous 650 belt's are ALREADY made by Gates for Kawasaki, if i am a betting man, and could get them to admit it..........

He hit a dead end with Gates. He says they are made by a Japanese Co. I am at an end with it. But my Rep is not. Hey Shot Gun if you are reading this, do you need me to send back the belt? Tell me about that belt.
I think maybe the 700 belt is a new and improved unit. I am told by a friend that Kawasaki has issued a bulliten to their techs' that a chirp every now and again is not all that bad. I dunno?
