… just noticed today that my left rear engine mount is cracked completely off… while ridding on Saturday I heard a rattling nose and upon inspection it was not a snake (lol), but my left mount hanging on the bolt end. I am going to take some photos and have a friend weld it back on. I will not take back to the dealer, because of the poor job they did on other repairs in the past.

I will have to admit I was doing some 40’ triples this weekend, but no hard landings and the bike has never rolled. I have about 3,500 hard miles… bought in May 2003. To Kawis credit... I rode over 125 miles today with only one engine mount bolted in and I put a 3’ zip-tie in place of the broken rear mount. Maybe Kawi should just send all V-Force owners a bag of zip-ties LOL? My friends joked about my zip-tie, so I hit the 40’ triple a few more times and the zip-tie held up LOL those thing are great.

Haven't had any problem's out of mine yet but it is nice to have friend's that can weld they come in very handy very often [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

 

I had that happen to mine, Kawi had it welded under warranty. I got the guy that welded it to gusset the mounts, rock solid now. My frame also let go under the seat where the frame tubes fit into each other.
If it happens again they said they will replace the frame.

 

Just notice my left mount is cracked as well. Only 100 hrs of riding. I think I am weeks out of warrenty as well. They better fix it.

Just checked I bought my bike 6 months ago,,,,, yesterday.

 

Dealer said they would weld it under warrenty. Trying to have them gusset it as well.

Engine Mount cracked off:

I sent some photos and a receipt ($135.00) to my dealer for having a friend re-weld them (he is a welder). Today I received a check form Kawi. I am impressed.
