Default 4/110 hubs for VForce?

I have 3 other atv's with the honda bolt pattern, one has Spidertraks, and the other has Maxxis All Traks. I want to get a set of RazorII on baja rims for the V. So If I can put a 4/110 hub on it, I can use the other tires if I need them. I heard that the 400ex hubs work, but you have to file down the axle nut, then you need to add spacers to get it back to stock width. Just want to know if this is right, or is there a better solution. It would be nice to have a big choice of tires.

400ex hubs and shave the nut down.

Do you need spacers to get back to stock width?

Yes you need spacers, unless you can find a set of stock hubs off a Honda TRX250x 85-87 I think! Not 250R but 250x, I had one and I believe that the stockers are offset like the stock Kawy hubs are. All in all it is easier to just get new durable hubs and spacers.

I put 400 ex hubs on mine ...... no spacer needed. When I set the Kawi and honda hub on the table, the measurement from the bolt surface of the flange to the table was the same distance. The Honda Hub is longer on the side that the wheel bolts to ....... which is the reason that the stock Kawi nut does not work.

The Kawi nut has a thick "washer" cast as part of the nut. I purchased two new nuts... with out the built in thick washer. ( the honda nut does not fit ... thread diameter smaller)

That's cool I purchased damn durablue hubs and needed a spacer, rather not use a spacer, it seems cheesier and weaker, but it works for now.

So with your new rear rims you are still at the stock width of 46".

I wanted 10" x 10" rims to mount my Spider tacks on ... could not find them with Kawi lug spacing.

my 10X10 rims .... are off set 6" -- 4" ( 6" to the outside ) ( about $35 each )

(I just walked to the shop to measure for you)

..... the distance from outside of lug to outside of lug .. 47 inches ....
( probley about 46" rim flange to rim flange.)

I can see that if you used 8" rims ... with 4" off sets ... that you would lose two inches of width ...
(I think the Kawi rims must be 3"X5" off sets ??)

The change is not in the hub seat to the bolt flange distance. If you measure from flange bolt area to flange bolt area ..... honda hub compared to Kawi hubs ... they are the same.

You have to be sure that the rim you are using is off set by the same amount as the Kawi rims.

Hope that helps

Thanks for the measurement.

I plan on getting the 9x9 Baja, but I will have to check what the back spacing that are available for that width.

GE4X4 .... I edited my last post a bit .... check it out ....

Summary ... the key will be the back spacing. If they match the Kawi rims .... the width will be the same.

I was told I would lose width and would need spacers .... I bought spacers ... they are still in the box they came in. So if any one out there wants to buy a set of 410 X 4 spacers .. let me know !
