HELP Engine Brake
#1
My engine brake is on all the time
Any body know how I temporary dissable it and how do I fix it?
I know I could just unplug it but I would rather just run without it and still have 4WD
Any help?

You can unplug it and you will still have 4x4 and 2 wd. the light on your dash will flash back and forth from 2 to 4 but if you have the switch in 4x4 it will be in 4x4, if you have it in 2wd it will be in 2wd!

Sounds like the belt is too tight. If the engine braking servo was staying on, you couldn't stop, and if you did stop, the engine would stall. What type of new belt did you install, and what did you put back in for shims?

Nope, not the modual, not a chance unless you did some majorly wrong wiring. Have you ever had the clutch cover off and possibly turned the key on while the cover was off? Try to reset the ebs. Check out the tech tips at,,,,, atvpower.com,,,,,, for reset instructions.

my 650 did the same thing, you can unplug it but the belt light will come on and limit your speed (mine did that at least) does the actuator make a screeching noise when it engages or when you shut your machine off? i took my old actuator apart after the dealer replaced it and it felt like the sensor in it was hanging up a little bit when i turned it. i would like to know how to disable the engine break if it happens again it is not worth the $234 to fix it
