I'm not a huge fan of DG stuff, but I ended up installing the DG Fat bar series nerfs on my V. The fit and finish was/is great. They installed very easily, and I like 'em.

How much were the DG's?? Was there a big diff in the Fat bars and the standards qulity wise?

Rocky Mountain wants $152 for them. I got them through my dealer when I purchased my V, and I think he gave me them for $125. They are very sturdy. Welds are nice.

I second what Quadfather has said. I even went two steps further and got the FAT grab bar and skid for the belly. All very nice quality and fit n' finish. DG products have gone way up in quality over a few years ago!

I have the AC nerfs with IMS heal guards and IMS/Roll footpegs (see a picture in my photo page)......nice looking and great feeling set-up but the install on the AC nerfs was somewhat like wrestling a grizzly bear in a tub of oil. If you do as they say and don't tighten all the bolts till they are all in it's not as bad but I think they need to tweek the design a bit so everything matches up a bit better. Once installed they are rock solid.

I 2nd mark, I also have ac nerfs on mine and it was a job to install them! It took 3 people at times for us, but the are rock solild and look great. Once I got the first one on, the 2nd was easy.

I just installed the Pro Armor nerfs and although I'm happy with the fit and finish, I was expecting them to come with pegs. Unless someone knows different, Pro Armor nerfs utilize the stock pegs, Putt
