i've had one for a few years with no major problems. it's very dependable and comfortable to ride. your not going to here much about these things because there isn't much that goes wrong with these quads. Rob

I do know that Warn makes a 424 unlocker for your bike and not mine... I bet that would free up some fun! Not much else on the forums about them.

They are a pretty reliable quad...

there have been some, that develope a clicking in the front end ( ours does this, & I haven't fixed it yet ), according to NYROC, this is the wheel bearing race, it can be lock tited in...

while the transmission & CVT are very problem free, I don't personally like the shifter... the 360 / 650 / 700's shifters are much improved ( I snow plow with our 300, & it's a pain going from reverse to low range & back )... we mud bog race ours, & plow with it every winter, & ride it hard on the trails all summer, & our early 2001, still has the original belt ...

It is reportedly very easy to get the quad to start in gear ( by removing a relay, & installing a jumper wire...

there have been a few, that have had problems with melting the wiring around the head lights... ours did this, & fried the whole wiring harness ??? this could also have been related to the custom aluminum front end ( my wife t-boned a tree going about 30-40 mph... it damaged only cosmetic things in the front end, but there was enough $$$ damage, that I fabricated an aluminum rack, bumper, & skid plate )

over all this has been a very durable & reliable quad... it always starts easily, no matter how cold it is outside...

OH YEAH, I allmost forgot, if you need some accessories, look at Kawasaki's site first. Kawasaki has been allmost giving the stuff away that they have left for the P300 and P400's. Shock covers, gel seat covers, rack extentions......

Some people are taking advantage of that on Ebay and making some bucks off of people who dont bother to look at Kawi's site. Check it out here

Glad you could take advantage of it while its still there. Most of the cool stuff on my bike is from there or Ebay.

I just dropped it off today to get the headlight guard notched and welded to my winch mount. It is made for the bike but wouldnt fit with my aftermarket winch mount, so after welding them together and painting them, it should look pretty slick. Good luck!

they are a great quad.
i bought mine new in 02' and the only problem i had with mine is the wiring harness fried, i found that the heater relay for the carb. is under the fender right above the rear wheel, every time i went creek riding it was submerged, it just shorted out. i would highly recomment this quad.

My wife has had her's since 2000 and its run great, the only prob we've
had is a few times the battery hasen't kept the charge up over winter, but
we've just put a charger on it every couple months its been fine..

I know we both have rode the heck out of the thing and it seems to handle
what ever we want it to do

we did just take it in yesterday for the front suspension arm recall.. they said
it should take 4-5 days for the parts and 1-2 days to install...

Does anyone have a copy of the Service manual they can email me

Yeah, I need to take mine ion for the reacall. I think belt is original too. I look a peak at belt and it looked smooth on top. Makes me think its original "thin" type.
