P650 primary spring???
#1
Hey guys,
I got from a buddy of mine a Dalton primary Black/white spring and dalton's secondary spring. I was wondering how they were. i ride trails, open land and alot of mud. i was wondering if its a better advantage than stock. my belt slips at times and i heard its an advantage to use to reduce the slippage. is it true?? i'm running 27" outlaws, not to much power loss however i do run in low in deep mud. any information i would greatly appreciate it. going install it if i hear good remarks. Thank You.

the Dalton black / white primary spring is very close or equal to the EPI red... I'm not familiar with the spring charictoristics of Daltons secondary clutch spring... but i'm assuming that this set up is very similar to EPI's Pro kit, that is reccommended for bigger tires... these springs should work well with your Outlaws... if you have any questions, contact Dale, at Dalton... he's regularly on this forum, as HELIX... I'm sure he'd be glad to help you out with any questions you may have...
the primary spring will likely raise in rpm's, you clutch engagement ( similar to a stall converter on a car ), & generally the aftermarket secondary clutches increase the belt tension, helping with belt slippage, with bigger tires...

thanks alot for the information. i greatly appreciate it. i'm most likely going to put it on my bike in the next couple of days. you wouldn't know how much more RPM it would raise it do you? also is it a good/bad thing that it raises the RPM just curious. Thanks Again.

I haven't done a primary spring, except for the stock 700 V Force spring... you could do a search for the red spring... both KISSOFDEATH, & MIKEYBOYESQ, have posted spring tests... I think the shift out is raised 500-600 rpm ( stall )... this makes it easier to get bigger tires spinning... the higher stall primary springs are harder on your belt & clutch components, but probably only marginally...
