So what kind of power are we talking about here??

Tell the truth! You know this is a bad a$$ quad and you want her to get it so YOU can flog it. If she really has problems with the power of your ex on the hills you better get her a roll bar for that 700! The 700 will put her on her back faster than you ever dreamed of doing. If she has trouble with a clutch and likes the power dont get the V it is way to powerful. If i was you i would get her a utility quad maybe a P700 or wait till the P500 comes out. The Prairies will go more places than the V also like the mud/snow you know all the fun places. LOL!! Thats my opinion.

I was gonna get my gf the scrambler, but she didn't care for it too much and then the 700 came out and it was perfect. Get her the 700, she will love it, and if she doesn't you will always have a great backup quad.

Get her the V-Force and put a throttle stop on it and strap a block of lead to the front of it

Yes, it is true that I want her to get one so I can ride it. There, I said it. hehe
She doesn't have any problem with the power of my 400, she just doesn't understand that you can't lug it up a hill. She tries, but I think she would be safer on something that had relatively the same power as my 400 with only an automatic tranny. My friend has a Polaris Sport 400L with alot of stuff done to it and she really enjoys it, except for the single lever braking and the sound of the two-stroke engine. Also, after reading about the RonSpeedFX Triple Threat V-Force in the new issue of Dirt Wheels, I was like HOLY POO that thing is awesome. It gave me a whole new perspective on the 700 and how serious you can make one.
Are they really as wicked as some of you talk it up to be???? I heard that kind of stuff when the Raptor just hit the market and couldn't wait to ride one. Then I got my chance and I was seriously dissapointed about the lack of power.
She is not entirely stupid when it comes to hills and stuff, but she would mostly be with me on the flatter trails and out in the field.
BabyMoose, what do you like riding more, the V-Force or the DS. I'm seriously thinking about getting a new DS650 for myself.
eiger2, you ever go riding at Haspin Acres?
flashturbo, got any pics of that sweet looking matrix fiber V-Force?

V Force is a good quad for experienced riders, and probably larger riders. If your girl friend is smaller the size of it will over whelm her, maybe be too uncomfortable. I'd try a 250ex up to a 400ex, or similar models from the other companies. My top choice would be the 300ex or the new raptor 350 (warrior in disguise, better frame, and some extras). This would be my choice for any beginners.

ISH its not just hype its fact about the V. and as for the v not a beginners quad thats hogwash. the v is my first quad... course every now and then it lets me know it deserves respect but thats just typical male ego and peer pressure.. i put my wife on my v and she does ok in the fields i wont let her ride on pavment cuz she cant comprehend she cant pin it on a high trac surface cuz thats why she ends up looking up at the sky.. i think as long as she starts off riding flat trails and slowly works into mx tracks and hills she will do just fine the V is simple to ride. and the good part is its a big enough quad that she will prolly never outgrow it skill wise. oncve you start modding it the power just goes up by leaps and bounds. the only problem is cuz its so new i find it hard to really get a good varity of modds for it so the prices are high due to lack of compition... but in my opinion and its only my opinion the V is a awsome quad and i would recomend one to anyone. just stay away from the limited edition ones im hearing the plastic is very brittle but they sure do look sweet..
