Default muffler mod

Hi I have a 2004 P700, I ordered the new dyna CDI, I am thinking of rejetting the carbs and doing some kind of muffler mod. my options are going with the T$ pro circuit pipe (expensive) or someone told me to remove the cap on the stock muffler and drill 4 holes 1/2inch in the baffles. Is the holes in the stock will do the same trick as the expensive pipe?? Is somebody know a site where I can find explanation and pictures of the modification on the stock muffler? Or if somebody can explain to me how to do it.

Thanks

The Muffler mod your refferring to is a low cost way to make your muffle more free flowing. From what I've read, it seems to work just as good as any of the more expensive muffles. Now, it's not as good as replacing the entire exhaust with a tuned performance system.... BUT, if you can do the work yourself.... the differences on a mostly stock bike would nowhere near be worth the cost difference!!

Try here....

Here is the web site. It is worth the work! Also if you dont have a welder, just take it to a muffler shop and they will weld it back together for a few bucks. The entire job took me 45 minutes to complete.
