major play..any guess's?
 

well..ive just found out that the front right side of the 650 has some major play in the handle bars..at least an inch..and it is really affecting my control of the bike..funny thing is it does not appear to be affecting the left side front in any way..I can only think of 1 or 2 things that would make the handle bars "free play" like that and my 1st guess is wheel bearings..2nd would be maybe like tie rods or stearing shaft..any guess'es..im going to tear into the front end tommarow to see whats going on..im sure it has something to do with thos gawdawfull bear claws on the front end..prob wore out my control arms or something..kinda sux..im going back to 25 inch tires..just isnt worth the extra weight up front anyhow...

Still think you need to tear it all down,tighten everything good and solid,and regrease all that $hit under there. That things been thru alot of water and mud over the last 2 years man. Needs to be cleaned,greased and put back together. Methinks that will be your cure, but we wont know unless you tear into it will we?

only problem is there are no zerks on the linkage underneath there..there all those cheap ass sealed units.

im beginning to think that the "play"in the front end is maybe related to my right side toe being out a bit..I cant seem to find anything loose inside the lower units..maybe its in the handle bars..ill check there next
