can't get the wheels up
I got a '03 p650 with a holeshot module that was designed here in quebec. A no name module. I got mud lites 26 inch installed just after the module. I keep reading about how the p650 with a module pops wheelies like crazy but i just can't get mine to do it. Tried on dirt, grass, pavement. The jetting is original and when the atv is cold it stutters on take off a little bit but when it is warm it doesn't. Before rejetting or changing module, should i change my belt? It's got 1600 miles on it. But the last dealer that checked it said it was ok. I don't turst them much though. Any suggestions?

It dosen't sound like your belt is the problem, unless it is squealing and you can feel it slipping. If properly maintained your belt should last for awhile yet depending whatit's like now. I put a P700 belt and black EPI secondary spring on my 650 after 1200 miles or so. The original belt has become a spare, but is still in very good condition.I reccomend you learn to maintain the belt yourself. It's worth saving money, and the peace of mind that it's done right, and not getting ripped off. I'm not sure about your module, have you tried it w/o it? Might be fuel related too? If nobody answers your posts, be persistent. It can be disheartening to post an urgent post for help, only to see the next day 95 people read your post but nobody had anything to add.......Maybe someone else has an idea?....keep us posted.

I have a gut feeling your Holeshot Mod is not doing its' job. My P650 has a holeshot mod and , I mean,
if it doesn't spin out on pave it almost wants to do a backflip so fast the front end pops up!! Without the Mod , the only time it would pop a wheely is if it was in low range. If your Mod was working , the difference would be unmistakeable.Try double cheching your wireing of the Mod; maybe you got your wires crossed or something. Good Luck. ________________________________ 2003 P650 Red Holeshot Module Dalton Springs ITP Cast Alum Rims 26in Bear Claws Kimpex TJD Snow Trax (for deep snow) Full Equiped |

can't get the wheels up
thanks for the help.
does anyone think it could be due to the poor traction of my mudlites on hard surface because on dirt they spin out completely. And how do i go about learning to do the maintenance and verification on my belt Thanks, Dan |

Get a service manual. On the Kawasaki site they are $40...on ebay they are less, you can also get them on disc.
