what kind of clutch spring for the v force should i get, and what do the different colors mean?

I believe EPI has a spring chart, the colors are for identification. The colors may be identical between manufacturers, but the spring itself usually is not. I had an EPI pink spring in mine. Now I have a polaris blue spring which I like a lot better. I also have a brown spring that I have yet to try out, which is twice the length of the pink one. I can't find my paperwork or else I'd give you the specs.

Yea but what spring does what? I want to drag race better.

I can't find my spring chart to give spec's. I'm sure someone here has one or can shed some light on this. We all know what a difference the pink spring made. Engagement is pretty much just of idle. The blue spring I have is probably somewhere around 1500 + rpm. Just looking at the brown spring, I would have to say 2000 + rpm. I'd have to see the chart to get specific. A bigger spring does pretty much what a stall convertor does to a car.

Yea but the stock spring engages almost at idle so why would anyone want a pink spring? As for the blue, letting the engine get to 1500 sounds good for dragging, does it screw up trail riding?

Yes the EPI pink says it has a "0" stall , but i can tell you it does engage higher than stock. Not much but it does.

The pink spring is what kawi should have came with. This spring cures the 30-40mph dead spot that we're all aware of. The blue spring I have is great for draggin', love it. It does not pose a problem in the trails at all. The thing that scares me is when my friends jump on my V and nail the throttle. It's a funny sight, but still scarey. What I did was buy 3 spring at once to experiment with. I tried the pink and it was noticable. I put in the blue one, drastic improvement. I'm not sure I want to try the brown one until I hear if someone else has done it, it may be too much. I'm sure if you purchase the blue one that you'll be quite happy with it. EPI calls it the Polaris Blue Spring.
