Race to 1000cc

Default Race to 1000cc

doing a poll here.........wondering how long you guys and girls think it'll be til we're sitting on 1000cc quads and which manufacturer will do it first?

well... I can tell you that they won't be selling an ATV in Minnesota, that is over 800cc... the DNR guidelines only call it an ATV, if it is 800 lbs & 800 cc or less...

thats not to say that you won't see Rhino type vehicals with 1000 cc motors... unfortunately, those are considered OHV's & are illegal to ride on the states ATV trails...

you'd be suprised how many states have similar laws... 1000cc in a legal ATV ??? I don't think so...

If they much more powerful, it's going to get dangerous. How fast do they need to be? My Brute is scary fast already. I guess if certain brands keep gettting heavier they will need to be more powerful (Polaris/Arctic Cat) but if the Japanese bikes keep around the 600lbs mark, 800+ccs is going to be ridiculous.

i think at some point there gonna just make the smaller engines faster rather then makeing them bigger......on a quad...theres only so big they can get
