My 650 won't stay running

I am new to the forum and have a problem. I run my 650 for a few minutes, then it seems to run out of gas. I can't restart it untill it sits for a while. Help!! anyone had this problem?

you can try unscrewing the gas cap... if it continues to run like normal, with the cap off, then likely your tank vent line is plugged... if it continues to die, then it is likely the fuel pump / regulator, that is inside the gas tank... I believe there is a prefilter on the fuel pump pick up, but your tank would have to be pretty nasty, for that to be a problem... BTW... welcome to the forums...

One other thing to check would be the fuel shutoff valve, some have said It gets clogged or O ring twisted inside the valve.
