Is handlebar wobble normal for ITP 589's?
 

Hi all. Just wondering if I should expect a little handlebar "wobble" on hard surfaces with the 589's & The Brute.

I ran ITP 589s on other ATVs and never got any handlebar wobble on the street. I noticed my Brute's ATR's make my handlebars wobble real bad on the street. I got no wobble with the stock Dunflops.

I get wobble with muddlites at high speed above 50 mph on pavement only. I would suspect if the tire is not balanced or has some kind of sealant you will get some or a lot of wobble at a high speed.
You can have them balanced but how often do you run full speed on hard pack?

Low speeds you should not have the wobble.

A tire with the 589 tread design will inherently have some wobble to it. Not much you can do about it with those big lugs.

I also had a really bad wobble....made reference to it i nanother thread awhile back....ITP have since replaced my rear ATR's, and the difference is like night and day. Block your bike up with all fours off the ground, and run in 4X4......I bet ya have one or two of them really wobbling bad...I could visually see my rears. After trying everything I could think of to get them to run straight, I eventually called ITP and they replaced them...no questions asked.....( hats off to ITP )

Until I dropped to 4-5# it was miserable

At the time I tried eveything from 2.5 to 7 psi...nothing would work...you could actually see the axial run-out when it was up on blocks......was out about 3/8" on each of the rear tires. Now, if memory serves me correct...i'm running right around 5 psi in all four, maybe 5.5 psi. It was just the set of rear tires I had is all.
