Paddle's on Prairie

Has anyone put paddles on a Prairie 650-700?
If so is there a big performance advantage on the dunes. Skate-Trak makes the Extreme 25-12-9, tire designed for heavy high hp machines.
Would the 25-12-9 fit a prairie?
Any feedback. Thanks

Check out the picture on this web site. I think this he is a member on this forum. I saw this picture in someone's gallery.

I just bought some 24" Skat Traks for the V from these folks. 25" Skats for the Prairie is next.

If you got some big ass mud tires with deep lugs, just reverse the direction of the tires. Works really good. Saves money buyin sand tires. I did that with my Mudlites on my V-Force and they work really good. I still bought sand tires though cause they are lighter, hahaha.

I put the paddles from my old V-force on mine one time and it killed the performance, you deffinantly want 25" paddles if buy some. The clutching is all wrong for 22"s. I can also tell you paddles on a Belt drive Auto bang and clank the drive line something awfull. I am tring to find some 25" paddles with that center strip of knobbies to prevent that clutch chatter.

cc1999,
I have used paddles on a V-Force and on a Prairie. I can't say why this is the case, but driveline chatter is really strong on the V-Force with 22" paddles, but much less with 24" paddles. And driveline chatter is very minimal on a Prairie with 25" paddles.

Just yesterday I saw a set of 26x12x12 nine paddle Skat Trak Extremes that were ordered in for a Vinson 500. They are quite a bit more expensive than the 25x12x9 Skat Trak Extremes, but OMG, what a paddle tire. I wish I could justify yet another set of paddles, because those 26" Extremes looked awsome.

I used the web site that you linked and found that if you click to buy on items it gives weights. I played around with that and discovered that the maxis 25" bighorns on maxis 8 spoke wheels I have on my STP800, I could cut the unsprung weight in half by getting a set of those 25/12/9's on some light weight 9" ITP rims. based on the testing we have done this fall with all the differnt tire sets we have (see my pis) thier paddles will make a huge power difference on the sand. I can't weight to get a set.
