LOOKING FOR RIDING VACATION PLACE

We live in Plattsmouth Nebraska (just south of Omaha) and us and another couple are trying to plan a summer trip,
some place that has nice senery and is within an 8 hr drive.
If anyone has any ideas we'd sure appreciate it.

Thanks

Come on over to the east and visit Tellico, it may be too far but the views are beautiful and for the most part it has never been crowded the past 3 times I have been. it has the most wide ranging terrain from white knuckle to easy going, you would not be dissapointed. ATV utopia on the east. you can go for miles and not see another soul or the same trail twice. I have never been able to see the entire trail system in one 3 day weekend. great riding, it just may be too far for you

Ya never know. We might have to make a bigger sacrifice.

Tellico ORV area between Murphy NC and the TN border, do a google on it and there are many sites on the place, it is one of the most popular areas east of the MIssissippi. Not for the faint of heart though on some trails. When I started going about 12 years ago it was like another planet, now people have started to take notice and it is not near the escape it used to be, but it sure as hell beats anything else I have been to. I cant wait to try something out west, a little change of scenery. you would live it though, Ill be there in three weekends

If you're willing to make a real big sacrifice, then you can't beat Utah. We have it all. Dunes, mountains, whatever, you name it and we got it. The big nasty mudholes are a little hard to come by though, but they are here. And you can't beat the scenery.

Have you thought about the beautiful Black Hills of South Dakota. We have awsome ATV trails. You can ride hundreds of miles of trails , gamble in Deadwood, Sturgis motorcycle rally, Mt. Rushmore plus lots of other tourist activities. Should take right about 7-8 hrs to get here. I would be be happy to give you info. on how to find the best trails if you decide to come out. Ya we have talked about the Black Hills

Where can you ride there?

I've heard you can ride there.

It's been a while, but I thought I was told you can ride in the national forest.

There are thousands of miles of fire roads and snowmobile trails thru-out the Black Hills most of which are open to ATV's. We usually ride 60-80 miles a day and most of the time we are lost with no one else around. You can buy trail maps and most of the main trails are marked. I would suggest starting in the southern hills around Custer State park and ride to the Deadwood area in the northern hills. There will be lots of campgrounds and destination points along the way. Best of all there are lots of deer, elk, turkey, trout streams and few biting bugs.
