couple Q's about my new BF750

I picked up a BF750 today. Have a couple question about it.

1. Heat off the front cyl. exhaust pipe is pretty noticable. My left leg is getting pretty darn warm while ridding. Is this normal? Should I do anything about it?

2. CVT adjustment? Here's what I'm not liking about the CVT. When I'm just putting along real slow, say 10mph, the engine RPM is WAY higher than it needs to be. This engine clearly has enough low end torque to put along at 10mph at a much much lower RPM. Can I adjust the CVT in any way to make it do this? IMO the CVT should adjust itself all be based on throttle position. The less you push the throttle, the lower the CVT keeps the enigne RPM. When you jab the gas then go ahead and let the motor rev out.

Thanks.

Although I don't own a BF,here's my take!

1> I have read that they do create alot of heat when new.Make sure to be kind to it for the first while. No long periods of WOT. You could also have an extreme lean condition which could cause the same symptom.

2>The primary clutch spring is how you adjust the rev's vs. speed. However you will find once your trail riding and using it more you'll get used to it.I put in a spring to acheive the same affect.High rev's@ low speed=better performance.MORE FUN
