Allot on these 2 tire choices is where you ride most of the time.
Perfect example;
On my P650 I had the 27" Mudrunners on & I could feel a power loss & the gearing was change too b/c of the 27" tire. At sea level riding this may not be a problem but at the higher elevations, say from 8000 to 14,000Ft, it is very noticeable.
Knowing this, I went with the 26" Mudlite Tire on my BF & so far the power is still there. Some of this is b/c of the brutes power to begin with but also b/c the gearing hasn't change that much either vs the stock 25" tire.

I am leaning towards the XRT 27's from ITP. They are mounted on a 14 inch wheel. They are more low profile which I assume would be more sporty and stuff for my speed and air addiction. I like to jump and romp. I am sure the mud lites would be good too. I do not want to loose my low end fire though. I really like the wheely tricks that I have learned. Plus, I like to be able to bring it up in the front anytime and anywhere. I figure that the tread on the XRT's would be amost as adequate as the Mud Lites....Pretty close. So, I will just have to ask around and get some more advice. My tech guy said that he could put an after market clutch and something else and get me about 4 more horse power out of it.....maybe that would make up the difference. Tie rods are a concern too.

I should have the 27" XTR's on 14" rims on my Brute next week. Just ordered them friday. Like you I hope the lower profile radial with the little wider stance will give me better handling. I'll post here next week with how it goes. I have 27" non-radial MudLites on my Honda and they are pretty sloppy handling cause the flex so much around corners.

If you decide to get some e-mail me, I'll give you the hook up on super good pricing.

Right on. Man the XTR's look and sound good, but galleeee........$850 bucks. I ain't sure I can spring that one. I may end up just getting some Mud Lite's on my stocker wheels for now. I ain't sure the wife will go for that much mula for tires and wheels.

How about $750 mounted, delivered to your door That takes a little bit of the sting out of it.
