Holeshot ATR's causing vibration at 35mph+

I just got some 26" holeshot ATR radials on my BF750 and the handlebars start shaking at about 35mph and up. Definately a tire vibration. The funny thing is I have been running 26" 589s and had little or no vibration at all.

Is this normal for the ATRs?

I also have 26" ATR's and had the same problem. I had the toe-in set to zero and had a tire shop balance the tires. It's much better now. Otherwise I like the tires. Handle real well and good traction in everything but real deep mud.

same here, mine is more of a wobble. funny thing is, when I'm off-road I don't notice it as much because the front wheels seldom are planted firmly on the ground

Try 8-12 Psi in fronts and see if wobble goes away. Mine wobble if I have lo press 2-5PSI. However, I don't notice it with higher pressure.:cool

dang, I didn't know you could run that much pressure in them!

What kind of ride do you get with 8-12 lbs. of pressure? I had my set at 6 1/2 and had to reduce the pressure to 5.5 and set the pre-load on my springs to the lowest setting. The six ply tires rode so much stiffer than the stock two ply that I didn't care for the stiff ride.

I have the same problem with my 26" ATR's tires on my BF 750. I also have not noticed it unless I am on pavement. Maybe that is because I very seldom go faster than 35mph when on the trail. Can I adjust the toe in to zero or is it better to take it to the dealer? I wish one time I could buy something and have it work the first time I use it, instead of always having to go back to the dealer to make it work. Very frustrating

My bias ply tires on rear do no wobble. I don't notice stiffer ride with FRONT ATRS aired to 8-12PSI. Definately notice harder ride if my rear has more than 5psi.

I also had the same issue with wobble at 35+ on pavement. I tried all types of air and spring adjustments with no resolution. I then had the front and rears balanced and that fixed the problem regardless of air PSI. I found that 6lbs set on the middle setting in front and 5lbs with the middle shock setting works best for both ride and handling for me.
PS took a fair amount of weight to balance them out.
