But not in the woods. No way , no how . Oh and handling and power , Raptors are way 2 top heavy, and V Twin =Power

Dollar for dollar and modification for modification the raptor 660 is a faster machine. If you line up stock raptors and clutched and piped v-forces then I'm sure you'll see lots of kawi wins. I love the v-twin, its just not a drag motor in its current form and the raptor is the better bike in a straight line. There were 4 v's at the local sand hill this weekend, some were having a hard time beating stock 400's. The best equipped in attendance was no match for the vast majority of the raptors, yfzs, 450r's, and bombs at the hill.
The v is a great cruiser and would be a great choice for a trail bike or casual duner. Whether you get the rap 700 or kawi 700 should be based upon your preferences and riding area/style/type.

True, if your talking about the 660 raptor and I'll add that I don't like the older Raptor. But this new totally redesigned 700 is impressive and the word is that it handles 1000% better than the 660 and more like YFZ450. It's almost totally new and the top heavy feel is gone. I would look into that before making old claims.

raptor 660 is no match at all.....I raced one good friday and beat him everytime and he was beating everyone before i came..i came outta of the woods with mud covering my quad(gotta love the shaft drive) and whipped everyone including a piped banshee, yfz, 450r, 2 660 raptors one piped and kfx and suzuki 400s. The fact that they were all shiny and i had mud caked all over just made it worse. I can go play in the mud for 4 hours and still come and whip some ar$e.

Simply not true. I ride (Dunes) with a piped & filtered 660 and have run more of them than I can count. With simple Bolt on items on my V (Exhaust, Filter & Primary Spring), I had little or no trouble beating comparably modded 660's.
Now the 700's are a whole nother story. I am more than impressed with them. I still beat them, but I am FAR from "Mildly" modded now. If I decide to add another sport quad to my garage, it would be the new Raptor 700 HANDS DOWN.
KFX700 w/simple bolt-on's vs piped & filtered 660 Raptor
