Default new shocks or steering dampner???

I love my new 700kfx but I do notice the front shocks are crappy, are the shocks playing a part in the wobbly wandering front end at high speeds in the rough stuff or would I be best to invest in a steering dampner to help this, I will be upgrading to either works or elkas in the near future but just wanted some thoughts from you guys.....thyanks in advance.

Steering stabilizer is cheaper... After market shocks cost more, but are better...
