I know I'm probably over-analyzing all of this (you can tell from my recent posts here), but the Rubicon goes in the trader on Wednesday and the moment it leaves in the back of someone else's truck, I'll be on the lookout for a used 650 Prairie. Since they only made it through two years, are the chances of finding a used one in good shape and relatively low miles getting poor? I've noticed a slow decline in the number of ads for them in our local trader.

 

Yeah, but they are still out there. 3 months ago I bought a 2002 P650 with only 405 miles on it! The best part was I only paid $3K for it. I've dumped a lot of money in her to rebuild it and now have a total of $5300 invested (including the purchase price)...but she's worth every penny!

Good luck and keep you eyes open for that P650! I discovered mine on an atv forum (not this one).

Are the 700's starting to go for $4000 or lower yet?

 

Lowest price on a P700 that I've seen lately is one of my buddy's camo P700 and he is selling it for $4800...it has about 750 miles on it.

Hard to find, shows how good they are and people like to keep them. I wouldn't let my 03' 650 for less than $4800 also, and thats fine, no intention of letting her go.

 

I refused $5000.00 for my wife's 03/P650 camo (with my mods) a few months ago, and I have no intention of trying to sell it ( Well, unless someone really wants it, eh yamihoo) [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

 

I just became a Kawi owner last week. Bought the '02 in my sig. It has 700 miles, one owner...paid $3800. Glad he already did the wheels/tires, exhaust and filter, because I can't help it, I already ordered Dyna CDI, DG snorkel, new belt, and an assortment of EPI and Dalton springs this week.
