Just bought new twin air air filter and was wondering what kind of oil do i need to put on this thing. And for any of you guys who are running these things where can i get the prfilter for this thing cannot find the original site i bought it on and i ride in South Alabama where it gets pretty dusty out Oh ya This is on BF 750

I use the k/n recharge kit from advance auto....cheaper I think

you cant use the k&n filter oil on foam filters.....i use pj1 foam filter oil........

Any <u>foam</u> air filter oil work. I have been using the Bel-Ray filter oil.

I can see why you would not recommend it but, seems to be working fine....I use only the oil in this kit

You can use K&N filter oil in a foam filter but it is NOT AT ALL a great idea.....

You have to use less oil, and you have to just about squeeze it dry or it will suck out. I have used it in an emergency situation when I knew I was not going to be in very dusty conditions......

But you are running a risk by running it..... It's much better to use the more sticky foam specific oils.

I like the Notoil filters and filter oil personally. The filter oil is very sticky and washes clean in soap and water. PJ1 seems to be the most common if you just want to walk into a shop and buy. I have used it and the only thing I dont like about the petroleum based oils is that they take a little more time to get clean.
