The pilot screw setting is 2 1/8 turns out. The float height is 17.0mm. (warning about the vacuum piston) Slip the needle through the hole in the center of the vacuum piston and put the spring seat on the top of the needle. Turn the seat so that it does not BLOCK the HOLE at the bottom of the vacuum piston. Hope this is of some help to you. NorminN.b.

Is the choke sticking closed? Have you checked the gas filters in the tank. You have to remove the shut off valve from the tank , to do this.?

Default 2 1/8 out...as in, tighten till it stops then 2 1/8? I am having the same issue.

You need to be sure the carb is clean before seating that adjustment screw. If there were a small piece of crud in front of that needle it will become buried in there with possible damage to the needle and seat. Always a thorough clean and rebuild before starting a carb setup. Many good carbs have been damaged by forcing debris into those tiny passages.
