Deep Water Praire.......HOW DEEP CAN YOU GO?
#1
On a trail ride today a friend and I slipped thru a normal hole we've been thru many times.....but to my suprise at the end of this hole I saw my whole front rack plunge under water, and water rolling over the front fenders so I gunned it to pop up on the bank only a few feet away! After climbing the embankment I turned to see my buddy right behind me (2000 kodiak 4x4)! WOW, we were both caught off gaurd as these belt driven bikes went deeper than we wanted, but came out unscathed. It wasn't planned as we both are carefull of deep water(belt or no belt), so my question is...how deep can you go on these Praire models go w/o worry? I say top of the wheels! Give me your experiences on this deep water question.

Assuming that all seals an bolts were put in/tightened properly from the dealer/factory,the limiting factor will be the height of either the carb air intake or the belt housing snorkle. This is usually around seat height. It would be a good idea to check out your quad so that you know. Someday you will mabey turn around because you were not sure and then you could be missing out on a great trail.
