Handle bars on the Prairie the same as the Brute?

Handle bars on the Prairie the same as the Brute?
My GF just got a new 07 650 Brute force and it feels much better than my 02 Prairies handle bars. Why is this? I seen the stock numbers are the same. Whats the difference? Its like their lower or something.
