Default Brute Force 750 Modification

ATV TV recently mentioned a modification they preformed on a Brute Force 750 . By changing the factory shocks and tires to Works Performance shocks and radial tires. They lowered the bike by 2 inches and improved riding and handling (Less tippy, better in the curves). Is anyone familiar with this project or made these modifications? Any thoughts pro or con are appreciated.

My bike is not tippy now. Elka Shocks would be a great Christmas gift, but that can be said for 99% of bikes off the showroom floor. However, my Wife will still get me slippers and a 40oz.

Put aftermarket rims and tires... then a 2 inch lift. Makes the ride PHENOMINAL

Now that is funny......LOL.

If you put wheel spacers, it will help elimate the tippiness and you will have better control. For the price of the shocks, you can do the following:

1. Wheel spacers at least on back.
2. Good aftermarket tires. I used ITP 27" mudlites.

Doing just these will help a bunch. Then if you just replaced the front shocks with elka or works, it will eliminate almost all bump steer and make it eaiser to turn.

But, of course doing the above and replacing all the shocks with elka's or work's will make it wonderful to ride and the handling will be very good. It comes down to how much you want to spend.

I too saw that ATV TV test on both the BF750 & Grizz660 with the WORKS Shock upgrade. I did it to my then '05BF750, turned the '05BF into a very comfortable ride & a excellent fast handling Brute. Fun to ride as fast as your skills allowed you to push it, well worth the $1300 I spent for my WORKS.
When I upgraded to the '07BF750, I took those WORKS off of the '05 & installed them on the '007. With the improved Frt end on the '007 & the WORKS shocks, the '007 Brute is a super handling 4wheeler & handles even better than the '05, its amazing what the aftermarket shocks will do for any 4wheeler.
I also have tried different Radial tires, presently I am using the 25" Bighorns, excellent powerslides too on this WORKS Suspended Brute Force..

Thanks to all that replied.

The shocks look great on your bike...the price really scares me.
I see that you where running Mud Lites on the 05. Why the change?
I have a late model 750 purchased in December 06. It should have the same front end as yours. I have 26" Mud lites all around.

When I went back to ATV TV for more information I found that the mods where done for a rider that weighed under 200lbs ( probably closer to 150) I weigh 255.
I'm probably compressing my suspention a lot more then the rider on the show
Do you think I will benifit with the upgrade at my weight. I also noticed that you changed the tie rods was that also necessary?
