Bayou Question
#1
I've got a 1995 Bayou 300 4x4. The speedometer cable is damaged back where it attaches to the final drive in the rear.
I don't really care if the speedo works or not, and was wondering if there is a cap you can put on the hole where the cable goes into the final drive.
I believe the speedometer was optional on this quad, so I figure there must have been such a part for those quads not equipped with a speedometer.
Does anyone have any experience with this? Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

You might be able to get a piece of rubber tubing and screw it into the hole and then screw a bolt into the tubing.
For that matter, you could cut the end off the cable and put it back in the hole.

Thanks for the fast reply!
These are both good ideas. All I really want to do is keep water from getting into the final drive. I was thinking there might be some kind of factory part, but maybe I'm just over-thinking it, too. :-) I'll see what I can come up with when I get home.
