Just traded a 86 Honda 250R for a 700 V-Force, is there anything I need to check before riding ? I never have had an automatic, just wondering if there is anything special I need to watch for ?

congratulations. If you go on long rides you might carry an extra jug of gas. Also dont gas it to much on solid ground. As heavy as them things are, they still like to wheelie which i bet you have already figured out.You might keep an eye on that air filter.Mine started separating where the seam is on the filter.I'm thinking about getting an aftermarket filter with a different design.I've super-glued it back for now but i'm still worried about it.

As usual, QWODER is giving you good advice. One thing I can add is get some new and better tie rods. They are known to bend. I have not bent mine because old bones heal slow, but then again I don't air mine out.

I've also heard the tie-rods bend too easy.

Lots of good information here on them here: www.700v.com

Thanks guys, rode it this past weekend, love it in the trails, not because its so fast or anything because its easy, no shifting just gas and brake. Its not my 250R but it is alot of fun.

I have already put dual HMF pipes and re-jetted, I have been told to change clutch spring, but don't know what to replace with. Any suggestions? What do I ask for and where do I go to get them?
