Default kfx700 clutch belt???

Kawi says to check them at 100 hours and this is when your belt light will come on as well. If you have aftermarket springs I would check it more frequently but I also would do this as a precaution with any belt. Belts are relatively inexpensive and its a small price to pay for added reliability in my opinion. Hope this helps and others here may have good tips on this as well.

Just check the belt for any wear or cracking and/or stretching. I havent had to change mine yet either but I dont have 100 hrs on it yet. lol. Its always good to have an extra belt anyway!! Good Luck with your V, mine has, so far, been awesome!!!

I change mine before every dune season. It is relatively cheap insurance to prevent a failure out in the middle of nowhere.

I'm not saying that you need to neccessarily change it every year, but if you abuse it often, be sure and keep an eye on it. Also, always buy the Factory Replacement belt. The aftermarket belts are nowhere near as good.

You can get a factory belt from any dealer or a place like Ron Ayers.

We used a 3 step method from 3M. If you do it right, it will bond to the plastic and be as durable as anything. My quad started out with full plastics and Flames. It is now cut down to just about nothing and even from cutting it down, the paint has never flaked or chipped.

You have to scuff the plastic and then just follow the directions 3M lays out for their Plastic Painting Kit. It includes a cleaner, a prep and an adheision treatment. We used a basecoat clearcoat paint with a flex addative in the clear much like you would to paint plastic bumpers on cars.

The paint on my quad is 3 years old and I beat the crap out of it. I cut the flames off because I cracked the plastic from bouncing it off trees. The paint never flaked or chipped off even when the plactic cracked. The nice thing is, with it being paint, you can buff out any most flaws.
