Praire 360 Drive Belt
Hello, I've got a P360 but I've never taken off the belt myself but a CVT is what is on a snowmobile and I've changed out plenty of snowmachine belts. If it is the same then the smaller wheel that the belt goes around is the clutch and the larger wheel is the secondary or transmission. As the machine speeds up the secondary wheel plates widen allowing the belt to drop deeper and closer to the centre change the gear ratio steplessly. What you have to do is manually spead these two plates of the secondary apart . You only do this by hand, no force or you will damage it, no tools just gloved hands. You get a friend and turn on plate of the secondary on direction and turn the other plate the opposite direction. This will make the two plates spread apart and drop the belt to the centre. You will see the extra slack in the belt as you manually push the belt down between the two plates and this will give you enough to go back to the primary clutch and slip it over and off the system.
****Remember ****I've only done this on snowmachines and I'm only assuming the bikes are the same, only alot smaller. Even the belts are smaller.
