Default Kawasaki 650 Prairie, no power! HELP!!!

I recently removed and cleaned my winch. When I went to hook it up I must have switched wires or something. I heard a pop and my battery started sizzeling. From that point I had no lights, sounds, NOTHING. I bought a new battery but still nothing. I saw some fuses under the seat but they look good. Are there any fuses or links that are hidden that I could check? Somebody please help!

Default Kawasaki 650 Prairie, no power! HELP!!!

It is a 2002. I found a hidden fuse under the seat. It was a blown 30 amp. I was afraid I had fried the wiring! I just sunk $500.00 for a new starter switch and both carbs rebuilt. I love this ATV! My friend has a 750 but I like mine better because it has a lover center of gravity.

The real problem I have with this ATV is that it is loosing compression. I have lost some power but it is to expensive for me to fix. I have been told it is probably a bent lifter or something like that. I'm not really mechanicly inclined. I'm actually the reason God made Mechanics. Seems to me that since Mechanics are so expensive, God would bless people like me with jobs that could afford us to use them!

Thanks for your reply! You were the only one!

We went riding today. Had a great time! Man, my Kawasaki is the bomb! I never get stuck. Anyway, we rode 15 miles today but we pretty much stayed clean. It sure is nice not having to fix something! I will wash my baby off and put her in the garage.
